In Loving Memory of "Jorge" (AKA "Mr. Handsome")
June 14, 2001 – July 22, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jorge. On July 22, 2026, Jorge was laid to rest after complications from the extreme heat.

Jorge was an exceptional stallion throughout his life and enjoyed a long, successful show career. He was started under saddle by Curt Kovalek before going on to earn the Owner-Amateur World Championship with Chad Adams. In 2008, he was purchased by Gerald and Katherine Wardlow.

From 2008 to 2012, Jorge was under the direction of Kevin Gower, where he captured numerous 15.2 and Stake class victories. He later moved to Southern Serenity with Howard Hamilton, where both Howard and Gerald successfully campaigned him in Amateur and Open competition. In 2015, Jorge retired to Tina Wooley's farm, where he spent his retirement surrounded by love and exceptional care.

Known affectionately as "Mr. Handsome," Jorge was as kind and loving as he was talented. His gentle nature and affectionate personality earned him countless admirers wherever he went. As a sire, he produced several outstanding colts that have gone on to become exceptional horses in their own right.

Jorge touched the lives of so many and created memories that will be treasured forever. While our hearts are broken, we are grateful for every moment we were blessed to share with him.

Rest easy, Jorge. You will never be forgotten, and you will forever be missed.
