The SHOW HIO will host its annual judges training and continuing education on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Myatt Manor Stables. This will be the first continuing education for judges to happen during the season instead of prior to the season. “Our committee wanted to try something a little different and have the training during show season when we know more about what trends are being seen in the show ring across the industry,” said Judges’ Committee chairman Jamie Bradshaw.
Another change in 2026 will be the addition of live horses to exhibit in front of the SHOW judges. This is in an effort to show real examples and allow discussion regarding standards for each division in the SHOW rulebook. “Continuing to stress the importance of judging to the rulebook standards is critically important and our committee thought a great way to do that and stress its importance was with the addition of live horses to our training,” said Bradshaw.
Due to scheduling conflicts with other venues, SHOW’s training, which is mandatory for all judges, will be held at 11AM CST on Saturday June 27th at Myatt Manor Stables at 2291 Highway 231S in Shelbyville, Tenn.
